What Is Teeth Bleaching?
Teeth bleaching is a dental procedure that uses a controlled peroxide gel to break down the pigment molecules held inside your enamel and dentine.

Bleaching is not the same as a clean. Surface stains from tea, coffee, red wine and smoking sit on the outside of the tooth and often lift with a professional scale and polish alone. Bleaching is for colour that sits within the tooth, such as natural yellowing with age, deeper staining built up over years, or teeth that were never as light as you would like.
Our Teeth Bleaching Procedure
1. Examination and Shade Record
Your dentist checks your front teeth, gums and any existing fillings, crowns or veneers. Your starting shade is then recorded against a standard shade guide, so progress is measured rather than remembered.
2. Preparation

A scale and polish removes surface film so the gel reaches enamel instead of plaque. You receive a written quote at this stage, before any bleaching begins.

3. Bleaching
​
For in office treatment, we'll use a protective barrier and the gel is applied in timed cycles. For home treatment, custom trays are made, and you wear them with a strength gel on a schedule we set for you.
4. Review and Aftercare
​
We compare your result against the recorded starting shade. If the agreed target has not been reached, further gel can be applied. You leave with written aftercare and clear guidance on protecting your new shade.
